Great venue, good facilities and some good old fashioned fun and games, coupled to some challenging water conditions made this a great event.
I am sure Mr Fuller will be pleased to know that my old P21, expertly driven by Alastair, showed the batboats the way home on Saturday in some real testing conditions. Al drove it like a veteran to totally dominate the race with the rest of us floundering. You would not have guessed he was still running with a green band around the engine cowling signifying he was a provisional driver. It was a well deserved win and an example to those who are thinking of coming into the sport.
All credit to the safety crews and the officials for sticking it out on Saturday and giving the crowds of spectators some great action.
Personally I think this multi class racing is the way forward with the few boats that there are now in each class. Having 3c running with OCR gave the spectators something to watch as well as giving the crews the racing they wanted.

Agreed.

Well done to team C20 on saturday. The bat boats were out of there element for a change and only me and C20 finishing proved this. We were only doing 15-20 mph for the entire 5 lap minimum distance and that was enough. Al was somewhere in the distance!! That following sea was mahoosive and snorkels were definately req,d! Not a nice experience when you waist height in water on five to six occasions. Ive never been so pleased to see a chequered flag!

A great weekends racing especially watching old beardy and scotty playing at submarines On the following sea leg quite strange watching a yellow or orange glow moving underwater, also very tough on the OCR boats plenty of bruising and Apparently the takings in the yacht club this year were £100 short of the record But on a plus we almost reached the takings for the Lundy Yacht Race evening event and they had 57 competitors + crews

cheers to everyone how helped out over the weekend! It was one big weekend and my head still hurts from saturday night lol. thank you everyone for your kind words.
