[QUOTE=OCRDA;159632]not much point in anchors as it is very deep and one hell of a current.

not needed for scrutineering , bob?

Technically Yes !! But wont be failing on Anchors !! There is a proposal just going to SAT to do away with them for OCR and Basic if less than 5 mls per lap.

Are you coming down ?? Have you finished your new boat ??

Mini Flares

Hi Bob on the scrutineering list it says Personal Mini Flares 'Packs',does that mean two packs per boat ?,as I'm slightly confused and might have found the wrong ones on the internet, the ones I've found are Pains Wessex Personal Distress Signal 55665 my query is that I'm sure I read these have to be carried on the crew and yet these are only water resistant not water proof so presumably if you fell overboard they wouldn't work if wet?or are they to be kept on the boat? sorry to pose another question but as they are £45 each don't want to waste money buying two if I only need one and also to ensure I get the correct ones.Cheers Nic
PS how's the entries going any more Newbies signed up?

Personal Mini Flare pack - (Varies between 3-4 or six shot, have a look at the 55666 is a 3 as

opposed to the 6 shot) or 2 Orange smoke

(smokes are cheaper)

PB1 for the basic requirement see the BPRC web site
PB1 link if you dont have it

See rule M1k on page 127 of the PDF file - not the chart E1 on Page 15 (pdf)

Nic as I said before dont worry too much as anything you dont have someone will lend you and i wont be too fussy with scrutineering, just safety.
We are getting a few entries now but still more people with an opinion rather than entering !!
Bob
P S Have got your entry thanks.

Hi Bob are you still offering this as it might entice more to enter who had missed the original offer?
