K Class ????
Well the culprit has been identified. Thank you Mr Foolish in aiding and assisting in the enquiry.
I am ducking and diving to avoid the issue as best as possible. I have had a few viewings on 12 foot sorcerers but nothing firm yet. Will need to get her in a few training sessions first then she can make the call, JF has sorted her account (Middlefin)as I could see the possible damaging in using mine. Grounded at the moment but will pop up again soon. One below from a gentle drive back up the Itchen.
Little confused is there still such a thing a K class or is it all formula future now, any great diffference other than single seat. One worry I do have is her losing intrest and then I'm gonnna have to run the thing !!!!!! in basic races

KClass now resides with VC and TC, however, Formular Future still provides the chance for junior offshore starting as you note with the single seat sorcerer, then the 14' fletcher.
Will let ya know when out in the new year as there are a few of us still in poole and you'll be welcome to came and see.

That sounds good, do they still run the training days over several weekends for novices.

Yes, but not sure they'd cater for you in the Midas.

John, why don't you bring middlefin to one of the SEPA 'taster days' like wishful thinking did?
They are planning several more next year.
Graham.

training
K class is indeed now under the formula future banner.with racing starting at age 11+, 12ft sorcerer, single seater, 12+ fletcher 14ft driver and navigator, and for 16+ any 16ft production hull, there is a new class starting 2009 18-20ft fitted with evinrude 150 i think its for 18+
training is madatory for under 16's , and thats done at drivers wharf , so not too far to go! and is a two day specific race training course for formula future.
If you want any more info contact Jax@powerboatcentre.com
ps we can train in the midas cat but think the socerer will out corner it on a tight course!

That's an offer I know Neil will find mighty hard to refuse. Wouldn't be surprised if Mike Williams doesn't make up the numbers, what with three being so much more up Neils street.
I bet he's salivating as we speak.

There is already a class K in sweeden..
This is a class for catamarans and monohulls with 2 litre inboard engines.
It may be confusing with 2 class K??

I dont think it matters since our "K" is a national class only.
2.0L N/A engines.
1.4L Turbo or compressor.
And yes, both mono and catamaran.
Pretty sweet yes

K no more
The K prefix for UK classes was dropped at the end of 2007 after a season being called K250s. The Classes are now S250, F400, E9000 and looks like E1500 for 2009........
My two compete in the S250 & F400 at present, though it's fun for any age..

A big thank you to all at the formula future taster day for their time & efforts. It was a far from perfect day wind chill was a buzz word. Middlefin is still hooked & I’m now coming under more pressure, Littlefin, enjoyed it but that rapidly evaporated with the first real water over the front & was soaked then the wind chill came in to effect. What was really nice I could sit there all the way home say “told you that you should have worn your wet suits”
So let me see if I have this right.
Middlefin will take Littlefin but Littlefin don’t trust Middlefin, Middlefin won’t go with Littlefin & Little fin wont take her. OK single seaters “But I got wet in one today”
A big thank you one and all.

I have a small fibreglass mono suit 15hp or so complete with steering and seat free to a good home that will use it to bring their kids into boating, if you are interested give me a pm. Bit of a project but an easy one.

Good job most of the race dates are when the weather is better (and warmer). Can't do much about the "getting wet" bit though!
