Live satellite feed for Around Long Island race

Here is the info re the live satellite feed for the Around Long Island race on Sunday, Sept 25th.

The Event will be tracked via LIVE GPS at www.Kattack.com and we will have a link directly to the live feed on the NPBA site, www.nationalpowerboat.com. Each participant will have a GPS transponder on-board so the signal will be picked up by satellites and beamed to our big tracking screen.

Little red Donzi/Monza had an ignition problem....boat shut down while running. The 42' Outerlimits (orange one w/ 1075's) i think had an engine issue? Not sure. The 30' Sonic broke a drive. The 25' Active Thunder had a gasket issue and needed fuel????

Winning boat was a 43 foot Outerlimits with the big Ilmor engines and drives.

Record for overall time was broken by 1 minute. Course length 271 miles.

Second finisher was the Fountain center console with 4 Merc outboards. Another record for outboards broken by over 1 hour. (This boat set the CC record a few years ago at 87 MPH.)

Calm conditions on the sound, heavy fog and good size waves at Montauk, fairly good waters on the run back on the beach, boat was running 110 plus through Manhattan, past the UN building and headed for the finish. Fuel on board at the end was 30 gallons.

Six boats started, two finished. 66% DNF ratio

Last year three boats started, one finished. 66% DNF ratio.

From three boats last year to six this year, we had a 100% growth. Let's hopoe this keeps up.

Thanks for all the support from our European fans.
