definitely a very dangerous thing to do.
, But he bought a fake boat he deserves some flack for doing so. Especially as he is so proud of it!

Well it appeared to be too 'kin' rough for 'kin'-fast, coz being red flagged after one lap, saved them the embarrasment of being lapped by the V24's on the second lap.

Twos painfull to watch.

Even my wife said "why are they going so slow?"

Glad we're not pinning hopes for a British P1 win at Cowes on em.

Roger would have absolutely flown in those conditions today.

it all happened a bit quick! one minute the start flag dropped, we were struggling to get on top of the wobbly stuff, looked to my right and theres a boat upside down!
we circled round to be there to offer assistance but a safety boat was already on the scene, we waited a couple of mins then the crew surfaced, by this time we pootled off, to be red flagged at the next turn bouy....
both crewmembers are fine and in good spirits.....luckily!

Terry thinks the boat went up and the wind caught it at the same time on one side hence them coming down the wrong way up! Both of them are ok and we got the engine running this evening to!

yer it wasent that hard to get the engine started just a lot of stupid things to do. yer and it was quite rough out here and i would of thourght that most of the race boats would have been going a bit faster i was even keeping up with a few and im in a 12ft inflateable. well surpose they had already given up getting to the line.

re. Marex on Sunday

Marex crew were of the opinion that they were not racing the V24's and, as they were ahead of the boats they believed they were racing against, throttled back to let the V24's go. They came through the gate on the first lap at approx 50 m.p.h. but even at this speed on the leg from marker 4 to start gate at the end of the first lap managed to destroy both helmets after ploughing into a 3 metre hole.

Roofer ... on standard Bravo 1s Marex does 73.2 m.p.h.

Marex team also would like to extend best wishes to Terry and his wife after Sunday's incident.

What exactly were you doing out there then?

Your above statement 'holds water', only when racing in a class, for championship points, and your only going as fast as you need to, to stay ahead of the next boat.

What boats were they then?

Yesterday, you were (correct me if I'm wrong) the only boat in class (which means whilst in first place, you were also in last place), and, it was a basic race anyway. So what was your strategy?

Surely the wise thing to do if you feel likely to break it unnecessarily in the rough, would have been to leave it on the trailer! or better still, in the barrel. In fact, why enter 'unnecessary' races at all? However, If you're looking for 'seat time', you need to be racing like you mean it, or it's a waste of fuel.

Yeah right!

So the 33' 550hp Marex, didn't fancy showing the 24' 320 hp Bats the way home!

As there's an overal first place to fight for, that sounds like bollix to me.

Has Paul been 'struck dumb', or are you the official team spokesperson?

And what's this about a threat?

What's that supposed to mean?

I suspect that had the race run to the finish, my day on the beach with a camera, would have been far more enjoyable than being in the largest, most powerfull boat in a rough race, coming last, having been lapped 2 or 3 times.

People 'like you' make me die! you turn up in an overweight shed, do a couple of basic races, and start talking like Don Johnson.

Team sponsor.

With re. the V24's , we were unaware that the race on Sunday reclassified the field.
