Why till next year...?
You can get a Medical at anytime, But only lasts a Year as John pointed out.

Well not worth buying at the end of a season ! With only tq to go. And I seem to be the only basic boat out ! They should scrap the rule . Either you need one or you don't . Fit enough to do 2 . To get more boats out they need to sort it out

if you are only doing tq you can get an event licence without a medical!

I was going to say... the medical itself only lasts as long as the time the Doctor wants to spend with you! May be only 20 minutes
If you want to know how long it's valid for, that's a different matter. 12 months I believe.

I agree !! But apparently it is annual according to RYA Office so needs to be renewed annually only lasting for the year it was issued from March 31st till following March.
But dont worry James we will get you on the water !!
