Mobile Workshop

Prehaps a question for the race teams...

What facilities would you like to have in a mobile workshop to support your boat / Ground support between races?

Those of you that did RB08, would you have benefited from a mobile workshop at each stop over with welding equipment / benches / etc etc?

Thanks.
Howard.

We will be bringing our own stuff with us so we hope to be self supporting, however welding is probably one of the things that is most required - the ability to cope with stainless and aluminium would be helpful to a lot of teams, a press to remove and fit bearings in addition to as many tools as you can carry! Of course none of this is any good without a very competent engineer. I would imagine prop repairing facilities would be of great use - maybe you could co-operate with Steel Developments of someone similar?

Were you hoping to charge for this or just be a jolly helpful chap and enjoy the trip around the country? Either way I would talk to RB12 and see what they say - if you're offering your help they might give you a pass and give you a good spot at each venue?
