Mod VP

There were some impressive speeds set in the early 90's, why'd the class die?

Be interested to see some pics of the boats.

What exactly was mod vp? I see it mentioned often but I don't really know anything about it. 100+ sounds good though!

S2000 killed off MOD VP, originally similar speeds with a standard motor, was fun though quick blast round at over 100 any day of the week.

Pete Little just advertised this for sale, certainly the nicest one left of the originals.

There is also a 90hp 1.3 version knocking around did 80 or so with a standard Yam 90

I used to run a Mod VP in basic and ski racing !! We have just been out testing it this weekend with a Jet Drive on a Yam V4 powerhead. Seems it may go quite well.
Still by far the best F3 Ski Race boat we had.

MOD VP was quite big in the UK early 90's, they were trying to get it to look more organized and professional. Then S2000 came along and killed it off almost overnight. Anybody remember this?
