Hi,

Are you running a 115HO on your boat?
If you do, you have a problem the engine is´t homologged!
Only the standard E-Tec 115hp!
Or has Bombardier homologged the HO as well!?

Regards
Fredrik

I think that is is terrible that you are not allowed to use the HO engine!
I think that the Homologgs are out of date, and aren´t needed when using EPA/CARB engines!
But better make sure that you are allowed to compete with your HO engine befor you go to Norway!
The e-tec´s homologgs are a joke! The only thing mentioned about the ECU is that it Revs 6300 but higher revs can be obtained!
So contact RYA and have them apply for exemption from UIM!
Best of luck

I raced against a 200HO in the Rib Formula One class in 2005 with an XR2 that would never make an honest 200, the class was 200 with a 10% tolerance, but Evinrude never published a HP, and they were never dynoed, so we will never know if that engine was within the 10% or not and therefore legal for that class - happily it was irrelevant in the end because I won!

My point is that how can you race with an engine when the manufacturer won't give you a rated Horsepower when all of the other manufacturers do?

Glad you got your entry in and without too much hassle but please remember acceptance of entry does not in any shape or form determine eligibility.

If results go your way expect to be protested as according to the public available docs it missed the UIM 31 Oct closing date & did not appear on the 1 April list for the 2009 season for eligibility , (if anybody wants to read it It’s all in the 700’s rules UIM & G3 & G5 for the RYA same applies to both,)

But then goal posts have moved before XR2 for example

Excellent... But as Blufin said, if results go your way, expect loads of grief. When we took the cat to sweden we had loads of it before scruitineering as our skeg was interpreted, by other competitors, as being 4mm to wide on the trailing edge!!!!!!! Our scandivnadian brothers, the Norgies in particular, all know the technical rule book inside out. Good luck and enjoy. Take loads of money though!!!!!!!
