Hi Gino

I thought you race the fountain in evolution?

I thought the seating side by side rule only applies to super sport!

Has Nico found you some new engines? if so what?

My personal email is kinfast9@btinternet.com

See ya in late September, when engines get serviced by Nico.

Cheers Paul

Correct, same rule for evolution class, still haven't got anything on paper, will contact Jean-marie concerning this canopy issue. They also where talking about no rib's next season.... hope they reconsider all those changing rules, because they gonna end up with only a hull to race with.

Thanks for the excellent Photo's guys.

Jon, from your threads on Chowdron, am i to believe that they have bought the Cougar Moulds that were up for grabs in the states?

Thought the P1 boats were superb on the rough Sunday race - really entertaining.

However a bit dull when it was calm on the Saturday, not really quick enough. As someone said to me the V24's are more netertaining in the calm.

No, they haven't bought moulds, they've bought the hull of the late John Bakers 'Flippin Eck'. It was bought directly from Cougar in Warsash, so presumebly the deal went along with the rights to use the hull design in future boats, foolish if it didn't.

The interesting bit is, what became of the famed, stepped phantom 28 stretch Chaudron 41? .....and, will Cougar get reccognition for their design, of will this become another groundbreaking Chaudron creation ..albeit legitimate this time.

Chowdron? Should be called "Xerox"! Second thoughts, thats a "Perfect Copy Everytime" isnt it?

Oh right, ill keep quiet about the Cougar 38, 40 & 42 foot hull and deck moulds currently offered for sale stateside then.

Have you seen the Cougar 38 at Littlehampton Jon?

Yeah, but not for years, i'm pretty sure this one used to belong to Henry Hector, had 420's/TRS's in it I think.
I've heard it's in a very sorry state now, rotten floors etc.

Don't be suprised if there is a RIB class in P1 next year!

Why do ribs always feel the need to do their own thing? You end up with 30 million classes with 1 entry in each class. People get pissed off through lack of class support racing almost no one, and give up the sport. Minimise the number of classes, keep the numbers up and keep the guys at the back hungry to go faster and the guys at the fron working hard to stay there.

Agreed - why do you need a seperate RIB class?

Also heard there maybe no place for outboard engine boats in P1 next year. Or perhaps that could be another class

I still have a bit of a problem with these max. speeds - don't know about anyone else but does seem a bit strange when the first two boats on Saturday are DQ'D for going too quick, so the boat that comes third now wins!

I believe they have to implement it because P1 is "Pleasure Navigation" rather than a "Race" class. I understand it also attempts to control chequebook racing.

However, I think it'd be great to have the occasional "unlimited" race.
