I did read the article in the paper last week, reminded me of the sort of thing I read as an excited 10 year old looking at the pics of f1, and look how things have turned out over the years, having evolved from rich entrepreneurs to big sponsorship and factory support...will powerboating follow??? and if Miles is the new James Hunt what is Mike...Demon Hill? and Jackie maybe Michele mouton, who new a thing or two about bouncing around at high speed

Remember watching Michele Mouton a few times thrash her 650Hp group B Audi rally car in the mid 80's...that car was real Quick and she really new how to drive it...read a magazine test on it if I remember correctly 0-60 low 3's 0-100 mid 7's even today some 20 years later there are not many roadish cars that are that fasssssssssssst...don't think even the Dragon can do 0-60 in 3 sec's, but then it seems to have a big advantage in the very very wet!!!

Has she gone a bit to pot as well then?

Back in the 80's she was quite hot, but there again weren't we all!

Hi all, appologise about tone of post before. In defence only & for the record
I believe I have very little ability as a powerboat racer, I race, spend my money, risk bodily harm, risk my boat and my life (very remote though, I
agree), because I enjoy it. It beats sitting at home playing with my computer or myself!!!

Unhappy that no one else will blow his trumpet for him, he took control of the trumpet, to give himself a well deserved pat on the back. What a star (and a dreamer).

I agree I am no star, I know my limitations. Thats why I race with & listen to people who can help me learn & improve. Thanks for pointing out that none of these people can play the trumpet. Miles plays the Guitar, but he tells me it is impossible to throttle playing the guitar or the trumpet!!! As for a pat on the back, after saturdays race, thats the last thing anyone wanted, as Martin McDonald!!!

Well done Paul, you really are quite 'special', aren't you. ('Special needs' that is)

Your right about "special needs" though....I showed the girls your photo and unfortunately they told me you will never find out!!!!!!!!!!!!

For what it's worth, I too think the new 41 looks pretty nice, just a shame they couldn't have wiped the slate completely clean, and designed/built something totaly new/fresh/their own, from the ground up. That would be very cool.
Had they done that, who could possibly diss it? Not me, that's for sure......Ho Hum.
For you praise indeed........my view for what its worth is......every new planning hull is a development of a previous planning hull.........if you can recognise a good concept and enhance or improve it, then good luck to you.
I am not going down old previous splashing arguments. Not worth it for anyone. I just hope that this years P1 is honest and close...and nobody gets hurt.......I wish the 3 crew injured in Malta my best wishes.

Cheers Paul

ps : ban me if you want, not racing anymore, not talking about Phantom/******** issues anymore.......lifes to short.

How very kind & generous of you to offer me that option, I'm enormously grateful! It certainly wouldn't have been an option I'd consider without your permision.

Thanks also for the comments about my suitability as a male model/stud, I assume from them, you don't actually own a mirror yourself.

See ya.
