You need to host them somewhere that doesn't balls up the quality!
I know just the place.

Always thought the Exteme boat site very good and have read it for many years (did say that along time back) and they have pic's for the P1 boats as well as vid...the P1 site I think lags behind poor show!!! well done Jackie and Mike the footage was great viewing

I second that

Also congrats to you both also for a great result in Malta. Conditions looked evil but made for some great racing and amazing footage. Must have taken so much bottle to have keep up the speed and huge effort to keep her in a straight line!!

I have it in better quality if you want to host it on boatmad ... but my login does not give me access to the multimedia site ... so have never been able to add anything to it

Mike,
The forum software doesn't support video embedding. All the videos here are hosted separately and linked to.
The main gallery/multimedia site of boatmad is hosted on a different server to the forum, by Matt on his own server.

I'm sure that we could organise a upload account on the media site if you wanted one, where you could put all this P1 stuff as you get it.

Our findings are, that the most widely usable video file format, with good quality/file size ratio, is .wmv (Windows Media Video) It's pretty straightforward to encode whatever you have, into .wmv, with the free media encoder software available from microsoft.com (windows media encoder V9)

let us know if you fancy doing that.

regards

jf

ps, so did you throw a blade at the weekend too?

Mike, It really makes no odds to me. If you're happy sending a CD/DVD whatever, then i'm happy to convert V9 wmv and pop it on the server.

You can then link to it for here, proprider, and of course extremeboat if you wish.

I'll PM you a postal address if you like.

As Jon said, either is pretty easy.
I can give you an sftp account to upload and a login to the gallery to administrate the videos, or pop it in the post on a dvd.
