Cats....
*IF* they were allowed to do the RB08 I think they would - on average - have a higher completion rate than the 'real boats'.

Did the Thindercat demo race at the 2006 Potugal P1 race - what a laugh but you'll need very good forearm muscles if you're going to drive!

Thanks Guys... I must agree I come from Offshore racing but since organising the Thundercat series I have watched these girls and guys compete and they've gained my greatest respect plus they are a wonderful community to work with giving their utmost of loyalty to me
Its not as easy as it looks and willing to put a challenge on to all of you who wish to try the boats (1st - 2nd March - Open day to have a go! we'll be a Lee-on-solent if you want to join us)

My advice? Have a go! You won't regret it - the corner speeds are unblievable, even as a passenger it's a challenge to stay in the boat, we went wave jumping before the serious racing and that was incredible as well, it felt like we were 8 - 10 feet up in thee air on some jumps (it was probably only 2 feet though!). It's a great opportunity and it's one I would highly recommend !

I'll send you the £50 for doing that (Joke - but thanks for that - big hug)
Cookee are you going to the brass monkey? Some unusual entries are meant to be attending so could be worth it!! I've done my back in badly, so at present not in too good a state, taking copious amounts of Ibuprofen and Diozepam... meant to be a muscle relaxant not working though but seem to have a smile on my face .. lol but wheelchair or not I wont miss this race... hope to see you there!

Unusual entries...sounds interesting, unusual in things like a canoe with a big engine...nothing worse than back problems hope you manage to sort it soon to enjoy the race

No problem Fi - you know I loved racing that thing - shame my arms weren't a bit fitter!
Not going to be racing at the Monkey I'm afraid - Is Mr Carr attending in his new outfit?
Good luck with the back, I'm afraid I can't help you with the drugs!

World of Powerboats article
Their quote "However the RBR organisers closed the entry list some time ago so maybe it's now too late to enter. Any P1 boat taking part in the epic RBR will certainly have to fit longer range rfuel tanks" is not correct of course, well maybe the fuel tank piece is but the rest is not.
We haven't closed the entry listing and can still accommodate anyone wanting to take part. Still getting entry enquiries every day.
