If you email me that document as a word doc, or whatever it is, I'll make it into a pdf for download/print, then people can print a pucker copy to fill in.
send it to *************

John, could you just clarify for me (and a few others I suspect) how much it will cost to enter the 'pier to pier' for a certificate of performance, in a private boat, as a non 'Wanda' member?
ie, don't wanna do the basic race, boat doesn't fit any racing class, so there's no 'record' to speak of, and obviously not a member of K Class club, oh, and don't want to hire a boat.
Just a bit of paper showing average speed tween piers.

Hi Jon,
Soryy for confusion the entry form did say:
'Non-member Record/vitesse £200' which includes the certificate and 1 year's membership.
The RYA certificate signed by HRH Princess Royal is an extra £90 i'm told. RYA admin etc.
thanks

Yes it is expensive.
But I have seen the costs to put on the event, so I know that in reality it is actually cheap. Sounds Irish, but the fees charged by the RYA to allow the event, insurance and officials costs are very high.
I wanted to do a 'timed run' in Southampton waters for our boat, to establish a record and tyr beat the British record - and discovered all the costs involved. Then I decided this was a very bad idea afterall...
As for the RYA charging £90 for a certified copy of the feat.....
