Cut off will be Monday the 11th at 17.00.

Just so people get an air of costs we have a £395 Insurance for the event, £600 for the crane then there is safety boat fuel, medical staff, calibrated clocks etc so to set up a records event for 1-2 days you're looking at the best ppart of £2K hence Verytricky's earlier comments that this type of event is 'value for money'

Thanks to all those who have shown interest, but if we were in a position to meet our costs i.e. 14 club entries or 10 other entries then I'm sure some form of rebate could be possible.
The RMYC race was cancelled because a race with 6 boats would have looked, quite frankly; pathetic.
NOT for financial reasons, we would have made a loss on the event with 10 entries, so why bother??

We bother to sustain the sport at the grass roots level, we're not in a position to make a loss on any event as events are self funding for us.
I'm sure other nomadic clubs like us are similar as there is little or no income from other sources to cover the expenses.

I was not suggesting your situation was financial, however, as noted above our is.

We're proud to be able to offer the youth powerboat teams the opportunity to train, qualify and then race no matter how many there are and hope to be able to continue with it well into the future.
