alternative

why dont the honda boat owners join the offshore national series
looe
torquay
plymouth
poole
torquay
cowes
If honda crews joined this series it would boost numbers and they could be confident it will happen .The more boats that enter the lower the entry fee could be.And would be wellcome with open arms

Totally agree with Rhino !! With just a few extra teams we could all have some Tv Coverage !! Any Teams are always welcome even if they want to do some of these in addition to their own series.

You're correct. Dundee sadly was lost after a lot of work by John Young, when the funding mysteriously vanished. We were getting concerned about it so asked Torquay if the 1st and 2nd August was available if we lost Dundee, and Torquay welcomed us back. Good thing we had a backup (well done Shirley)

On the subject of Honda crews racing. I for one am perfectly happy for the Honda series to continue, but would wish to confirm that our doors are always open to any crews who may have become disenchanted with the running of it for whatever reason. We are running a basic at both Torquay events as everyone now knows. There is also a possibility that, given enough"One Design" boats, they could have their own stand alone race(s) if they wanted or could run with the rest of the offshore fleet. The choice is there.

We're not greedy when it comes to entry fees, and with the drop in risk multuplier for our classes in terms of entry fees (thanks to persistent badgering by Brian to a large extent) we know already that we can cover the event costs.

So, no excuses left boys and girls. Theres somewhere to race for everybody.

Dave

OCR Salcombe 2008 you will notice approx 9 Boats !! with considerable effort from WWRC members we had this filmed for 3k !! The Stewartby race was televised FOC and I understand that we should be able to get regular Tv for around 1k
