race clothing

not wanting to look a complete prat straight out of the box whats the best race clothing to go for as i don't think my flipflops and towel rig of the day will surfice entering the dreaded class 3c no silly priced items as the missus is just about to see how much i paid for the boat! ta

As Matt sugeested to me sparco mechanics overalls from demon tweeks!Cant go wrong seeing as there just gonna get soaked!

The spanners only come out if ya get to throwing distance in a race! No joking aside the mechanics overalls look just like race overalls but without the quilted insides! (bonus in the summer)

I learnt 2 things. 1 - mechanics overalls are all ya need. 2 - I looked like a **** in mine.

You will also need a wet-suit!

Got to have one for scrutineering and then it's your choice if you wear it in the races - but it can get mighty cold and wet in a Mannerfelt in a following sea

I used a shortie wet suit, with a top layer which was a l'weight spray jobbie, can get mighty cold on some days. and if you go in the water it's plucking cold. Add or remove layers as you want but it's so personal it's difficult for the perfect answer. You need to find what works for you. Same for gloves if any.
(fit in a couple of tinnies or flask somewhere and a round of sandwich's. Can turn a shitty mood, bad day around)

My overalls are exactly the same as race overalls without the internal quilting! look fine on me? Dont go for the pink overalls that are two sizes to small next time then you wont look like a ****!
