racing

so not to hijack the torquay thread,i see it that we need current and past racers out but also encourage new interest too but how ? to me it makes sense to all race at the same venue when possible hopefully making things cheaper across the board and making it more of a show to the public.marathon at the moment i think could be more like true offshore like the needles trophy used to be ,still over 100miles with cowes being the longer one .the big marathon events like london/montecarlo are a different thing as not every year and for those with very big pockets. just some thoughts but interesting to here idears and who knows maybe some good may come from someone elses thoughts

If it helps anyone, we're more than happy to provide free space at the event village for the Venture Cup at Wood Wharf. It's a pretty amazing site and should get a lot of new people in around powerboats. We've already invited a few other classes to come and profile their side of things, and some have responded. The marathon boats aren't the 'first step' into the sport so it's great to show people how they can get involved.

national race championship

National Race Championship 2013 first round 9 boats zap cats , 6 OCR boats (2 of bobs) every one is invited to this .

Basic powerboat 2011 x2 new boats

How much effort does someone have to put in to get people racing , and no one really supports the events . only a dedicated few who seem to be at all/most of the races .

Get your boats to the races , scrap all the silly little classes .
More boats at the launch sites will attract new teams
More boats will make it cheaper
More likely to get sponsors, Media interest

If Guernsey can sort it out why can't we?
Is it because they only have one club ??? I think it is.

Only the people with boats can sort this out .... SEE YOU ALL IN PLYMOUTH 14-16 OF JUNE

My plan is to have my boat in the pits on the trailer even for a while just to help make numbers
