WE HAD 5 V24 s at Ramsgate
Who was the navigator who Dropped Gavin Brown V1 in the shyte, there are rumours that it was a certain lady, can anyone confirm this.
To all who raced at Ramsgate Bloddy well done, good racing in dodgy conditions. Keep it up

Well Mr Chaos, you can ask 'Old Beardy' yourself what it's like to open a tin of 'whoop-arse' on some of the more glamorous teams.
Welcome to Boatmad Ian

You've not met Ian have you.
First up, he's built like a brick shit house.
Second, he's got a bit of a temper- ya don't want to piss him off unless you fancy a snooze.

Thanks Jon and to everyone else who gave us such a good write up after Ramsgate, it was very much appreciated.
As for not being glamorous, well I am gutted!! I have spent years eating so that I can sport a "racing snake" physique, years on foreign beaches to get a complexion like a prune, years nurturing my hairstyle so that there is hardly enough to cover the crown of my head! My boat I bought at a car boot sale and had to plaster it in stickers to hide the holes and you say we are not glamorous. I would also like to thank Chaos for coming up with my new nickname!

Not to worry Ian, I too have 'honed' my image to near perfection, and am now getting a bit tired of all the attention, letcherous looks, wolf wistles etc from all the young crumpet I meet! I feel like a prize bullock at market!
Sadly tho', I don't have any driving skill to fall back on to boost my public standing.
Best of luck in Smallhampton Ian! We'll be cheering you on from the Phantom owners club 'enclosure'

i can see why people are crosing over to hondas, publicity and reception is everything, last time i went to racing (at rmyc) i had to blag my way in to the wet pits by saying i wanted to see the old owner of my boat (thats where she lived) where as honda has sooooooooooooooooooo much more and blonde chicks in hot pants too

Yes, honda also has a budget somewhere in the region of half a million quid per year, and full factory support.
Let's be straight - if Formula 200 doesn't work, there could end up not being any 2litre racing of any significance in the UK. I don't think this is over dramatic - I think it's quite possible.
The biggest dissapointment, IMVHO has been the lack of production boats - there seems to be a number of 2litre boats doing the odd basic race who seem to be very reticent about racing in the class.

Does anybody know how much has been done to promote the production boat side of things?
There have been a number of people on 3 forums wanting to go racing, but only 1 boat has raced so far - Littlehampton may be different?

What would be nice would be if a member of the F200 committee would join the forum in an official capacity to discuss the class to answer questions, listen to peoples comments etc - A large proportion of the F200 class is now a member of boatmad.
Based on issues yourself and some others have commented I tried to get in touch with Rory to discuss - I have an outstanding action to chase Rory up in that respect but been very tied up at work recently.
