A few discrepancies in that article which is not like Ray but what the hell, it's all history now and the race ran with 47 entries and 37 finishers and I ran it for the racers not Joe Public or anyone else. Maybe not quite right but everyone had fun. Perhaps that's because we were all unpaid "Amateurs" - and proud of it!!

We weren't out to make money, just as well!

I wasn't digging at any one I just found the article interesting.

The feed back at the time from many was that there wasn't enough exposure on the smaller teams.

Your right Mike it is history now but that is what is so great about racing you look back on history.

I watched the Land Speed Documentary for the 3rd time this morning and you never get bored with it.

I didn't mean to say you were Barry. Actually you have no idea as to the international exposure that we received and neither does Ray although he was probably the main man for getting the info of the race out there. I have here four A3 folders jammed packed with articles and photos of the race from around the world from China to America and beyond that Chris Davies put together for me and which one day we (Chris Davies & I) will turn into something special. There are some amazing pics there and articles of the race that most of you have never seen. Very special and just great memories for those who took part.
