From Facebook 22/10/10:

Round Britain Powerboat Race Hi all, This week the UIM ratified RB11 as an International Race. All venues in place..but.. everybody keeps asking 'what's happenning with RB11?' The next step is up to the racers... you need to step forward, and send deposits please. We can then finalise each Leg and obtain course approval with the RYA, this takes time & it will start to get a bit tight if we wait much longer for the last few entries to sign up

Proposed Race Calender 2011

Bob, at the meeting of organising clubs held a couple of weeks ago in Deans Offices in Coventry (which you did not attend) amongst the others who could not be bothered, when only 4 yes 4 representatives from Clubs turned up the following was tabled to be presented to the ORC meeting on the 16th Of this month:
weekend of May 7th-8th Plymouth - All Classes National & Marathon
Weekend of 28th-29th June Torquay - Ditto
Weekend of 30th -31st July RMYC - Ditto
Weekend of 27th-28th August BPRC - Ditto
1st-4th September Guernsey - Ditto
Weekend of 17th-18th August Weymouth UKOBA - Ditto

The above has or will be emailed to ALL clubs for comment before the meeting by Shirley.

Such a shame that more of you didn’t turn up, only Myself, Dean, Shirley and Larby (Who flew in from Guernsey) bothered - SHAME ON YOU OTHERS and folk wonder why the sport is in a bad state!

A few apologies received amounting to about 3..... the rest well......... In the words of our "Leader" "when all is said and done a lot more is said than done"
