Amazing Racing the pictures are truly fantastic, thanks to Mike Lloyd and every one involved.
We beat the Fugitive by 12 seconds and battled all the way
Well done to them for 1st in MC2
Thanks to Thunderbolt for the Superb and unexpected Trophy
Hope to see more old boats restored and ready for next year where are all the other great revenger 25sc ?

Thanks Cowes

See every one next time.

I lost my focus on the RB08 video over the last 4 weeks because of the CTC & the CPC races and also because Iain May, who is doing it for us, has also been sort of occupied.

However, we will be getting down to finishing off both of them within the next 3 weeks and then we want to show it to the RB08 competitors first in a RB08 club meeting, which is only fair, and then it will be released.. No idea on price yet.

One last point, The Cowes Torquay Cowes and the Cowes Poole Cowes races WILL be back next year, hopefully with more boats. We would like to see if we can make the CPC race longer. Everyone I spoke to feels that this race will bring in new blood to the sport, which it did this time. It also gives them a good feel for endurance racing. Unfortunately only one Honda (150)came out but he told me he had one hell of a good time. He also had his photograph taken with Fabio, how good can that be?!!

Hi Tom,

We were traveling behind you last night from calshot and behind you on the run up from calshot to the M27. We had a Fletcher 199 on the back and just pipped you at the roundabout at te M27

We were geting the boat and jetski back on land while you were washing up the boats!

Your boat always looks great on the water, I've always followed that boat ever since it was new to racing in the eightys! I got interested in the Fletcher 199's because of the similar looks its got to the revenger.

Hope you had a great weekend and safe trip home.

Steve.

you guys have taken some fantastic photos, brilliant would also be interested in buying any DVD's of RB and CTC when available

When the CTC ran it's full course I always started out by watching at Bournemouth Pier whereby they rounded the buoy and carried on down to Torquay, and then I motored up to Cowes to watch the finish and soak up the atmosphere had this always been the CTC course or was this only the case during the 80's and 90's ???

try right click on link, and 'save target as', and save it to your pooot.

It's a .pdf, so you'll need adobe reader to view it. you can get it here:

The Cowes event was great! The weather was very kind (at least it was to the organisers, not so kind to us, could have done with a bit more wind, a bit earlier) but blue sky and warm sunshine was just what the doctor ordered to bring a fun feel to an event that with such a short lead time, had people doubting it.

Everyone seemed to just get on with stuff, with very little moaning.

Escorted run down to Hurst for the start was very enjoyable and was definitely an excellent solution to the safety issue and I'm sure it's a feature that will stay, for the larger boat races at least.

The hope is, that next year, Cowes will be held as a 'Festival of Speed', with smaller races, displays etc to compliment/support the main CTC, and hopefully some entertainment, making it a weekend for the whole family.

Obviously planning will start a little earlier for next years Cowes bash, so any shortcomings of this year, will be ironed out.

The highlight for me, was hearing that one particularly sad individual 'booed' Nick and I when we went up for our award at prize giving, and got caught doing it by Nicks mum! well funny.

With respect to Ray Bulmans report on the CTC08, it's nice to see that as usual, he only has the capacity to write about the 'big boys'. 'the Fabio Buzzi show', 'the Richard Carr show'. The second of which wasn't even a finisher!... That makes him a loser! But apparently still worthy of more 'ink' than the various class winners, some of which busted a gut to make Cowes and unlike the big boys, prepared their boats themselves and deserve some credit for doing so.

He does nothing to encourage the smaller classes. Steve Baker tells me his reporting was the same back in the 70's, some things never change eh.

Will the old blue blazer brigade never learn?....probably not.

It's a Shakespeare 960. Produced by Francis Whitely's company 'Shakespeare'.

He built that one for the 2008 Round Britain.
