It can mean several things, the class rules may have been changed i.e. weight limit raised or lowered, the engine homologation may have expired or the class is no longer sanctioned. If you want to attempt a frozen record it is best to check with the RYA to see if an attempt would be ratified.

I was told it may only be possible to do class records next year at Coniston, so the immersed prop outboard mono record that Hutchy broke of mine this year will not be run next year, but class III records, OCR etc will be fine - OCRDA (Rob Mcarthy) will know more!

Cookee, as far as i am made aware the rules for gaining a K7 star are changing to make only UIM ratified class records available. Things like O, S, F classes.
You will still be able to go for any record you want as per usual.

Is there a list of what boats & engines were used for 2008 records?
And why are there 2 P1 Supersport record holders please?

There are 2 record holders because they both held the record. You can hold the record for a matter of minutes sometimes.
