The new boat he bought from Buzzi does not comply with the supersport rules in terms of being a pleasure boat as opposed to a race boat.

See the press release on the P1 site ...

Problem is that P1 confirmed by email bofore the boat was bought that it should be fine in supersports, hence the problem .........

Seems from a professional motorsport compeditor & a new powerboat enthusiast that the P1 organizers need to get their act & rules together. Teams and entrants are esential, without them they have no show to promote. It would seem that initially the rules where very open to encourage entrants. The spirit of the rules seems to encourage amateurs with fast powerboats to enter, however as stated on the P1 web site they want to encourage boat & engine manufacturers into P1.

The rules and objectives of P1 have lead too non compeditive racing. (don't be fooled by last sunday race). The rules should be firmed up to allow for close real racing. You either want cheque book racing or not!

Comments pls
