On the count of 3 turn left.
Is that on 3 or after 3?

Depends whether he says on the count of 3, or after a count of 3.

It should be very interesting for those taking part. We have a few of the guys coming who took part in the 1984 race and a couple from the 1969 race who will be talking to anyone who is interested. Fabulous source of info. It should be a good day plus I get the chance to sound off with no interuptions!

2008 Round Britain Meeting
Very interesting meeting for me and I hope it was for the competitors, met a lot of them and they all had loads of questions about the race, great to put faces to names at last. Even a guy from Germany turned up.
Great attendance, about 80 in total.
The Rules and Regs are at last published (agreed and passed by the RYA after weeks of arguments) and everyone who is a member of the RB Club will get a copy plus a copy of the licence details plus the new 2008 Round Britain brochure.
The excitement is infectious; everyone wants this race to run and to be a part of it. This race hasn't started yet and there is now the talk about having a London - Monte Carlo race again. Well, it won't be me organising THAT one that's for sure, that's not if I value my sanity!

List of entrants registered for the RB 2008 as of today (27.04.07) coming up on our web site any minute now.
Obviously this will change and has been on a regular basis but I will post anew every month plus those on the reserve listing. All makes for interesting reading. Sooooo many plans going on, all quite fascinating. I personally think a new RB champion is going to come out of this for many reasons, the question is - who?

You're gonna hate me for this Mike, but I'm confused.
Firstly, Nick Gilley isn't entering RB2 (as you know) He won't be using Yanmar power either, and may not even be in the Sunseeker XS Sport. (though we wont go into the reasons why)
But more importantly, there are a few entries that don't fit the class's they're entered in.
Alans Velocity, 'Mr Noisy' cant be in RB2, cos it's 3 feet too short (and motors are too big for RB3)
Clive Bakers Wellcraft has too large an engine to be in RB4 (8.2 litre, max is 6.5) so should be in RB3
Jonathan Rowe, same as above
And a few that are entered in a class above the one they could enter (read, no hope of winning) which seems daft.
I feel whilst picking up on these details may seem anal, publishing them incorectly sends out the wrong message and you'll have all and sundry asking to run in class's they can't, because they think it suits them (which it probably would)

OK, sorry if I have upset anyone, corrections being made this morning, when I get the time!!
Re Nick Jon, as previously said, they are the details I have, any other comments about his entry were in confidence so I wasn't going to alter his original entry. If Nick doesn't want to be listed he had better let me know, He did ask me to post his photo though and I really haven't the time to check on everybody as to whether their details have changed or not. It is up to each individual competitor to keep me informed of changes in their entry and it's their decision as to which class they want to enter as long as boat and engines conform.
This was simply an early listing of entries to date with my thoughts as to where they could be running, obviously it is not a definitive listing.
ML.
