I have to admit to being responsible for suggesting 'Team Jersey' I wasnt planning on starting a CI war but hey the more teams the better and nothing wrong with a bit of friendly rivalry. The team is still in the very early stages of being put together but with a bit of luck and a load of hard work we hope to been in muster off Cowes in '08 ready to take on our sister isles.

same here on the f1 rib front caw blimey its gonna get mighty expensive if we have to go un limited!

we will have to agree to disagree on the drinking issue for now and look forward to the competition, we could always team up in the bar to take on and destroy our english hosts!

There were too many classes (18)! As we have no clear indication at this point in time as to what RIB's are intending to enter we have included both RIB classes into one. I have replied to Toby to this effect. These are early days, go ahead with your plans and as the entry picture becomes clearer we can return to two classes re RIB's providing there are enough entries in each class ie: over three.
If you have any more questions email me.

Having spoken with and mailed mike a few times, my understanding of classes etc is as follows. While the event is still in the planning stages, if a number of similar boats show interest then it's quite possible a class could be implemented for em.

I never understand the need to differentiate between boats at a microscopic level - Ribs & Hardboats should race together. So instead of Rib F1, just have a 400hp OB class, and any twin 200hp engined boat can compete. IMVHO Larger class size makes for better racing.

And for the inboard ribs (was it F2?), they'd aligned well to one of the touring classes.....

RIB F1 is now the 200 hp class - they run with class III 2 litre / 200 HP now.
