Round Britain 2012
Heard a vicious rumour yesterday that there are a few potential organisers of a re-run of Round Britain looking to do it again in 2012.
Could be interesting!!
4 years away. So no excuses for not being ready!

Maybe the armbanded version of Warlord would make a good steed for this event, if that is, you like rubber.
My wetsuit asside, rubber aint my thing.

Early days but certain parties are extremely interested in carrying on the baton. It will be a wee while before anything certain can be said. Might even have a go at this one myself, I'll only be 72 but will still beat the pants off some of you

2012
Saturday, June 21st 2012.
Fabio Buzzi's 44' monohull now boasts over 5000hp. Extensive tests on Lake Como have seen the boat running close to 180 mph. The boat will run in the newly created Super/ Super / Super Class RB1.
Hannes Bohinc has entered ladbrokes.at , his navigator in the 2008 race, Prime Minister , Ed Williams-Hawkes wished him well in a statement today, “I hope all goes well for the racers – I look forward to seeing the start and finish of the race in Topsham, Devon.”
Marcus Hendricks is here in Topsham with a ten boats! He is certainly not going to take take any chances through the Caledonian Canal!
Since the European Court ruled in 2010 that Chris Clayton, owner of Gee, had intentionally torpedoed Hendricks boat of '08 Blue Marlin, no weapons will be allowed on this race!
2008 organiser Mike Lloyd has teamed up with Alan Goodwin in Mr. Noisy, this 1983 hull should go well, as it has a tremendous air back up cover.
72 year old Lloyd said this morning, “I just couldn't imagine going around Britain in anything other than a helicopter, when Alan asked me to run throttles on this event, I had to organise three film crews in helicopters to film our every move!”.
Our journalist at this point point was press ganged into buying another five copies of the 2008 Round Britain DVD at £300 each - such has been inflation since the last race!

Ciao, you really should revert back to that original medicine, this new stuff you are on is not good for you. It's giving you bad dreams.

We should know more within a couple of weeks. We must treat all this with some scepticism until THEY show their hand. It might all be a pipe dream like that nutter Mike Lloyd and his dream 2 years ago until John Fuller got involved and forced the pace.
