how shall i go about berthing my boat, it'll be on the water so shall i walk down and find out where to stick it?

Can I just clarify that UKOBA are NOT part of the organising group of clubs for the 2007 Cowes event at all. They were informed back in January that they would not be required this year and have not been involved.
Although, a lot of the past plans & courses detail previously done by them look very similar this year!

Hope you all have a good event.

anyone know if the "international Invitation RIB race" is infact the "offshore challenge" at Cowes the 25th.? like there is 1 venue in Zeebrugge (Belgium) and the week after that Ijmuiden (holland)

looks like we will join round the island as our new P1 boat didn't make it in time.
we would also join the Rib race, any idea how many boat are already registrated for that endurance race the 25th?

thanks
Gino

It would be best to get questions answered directly by Gary, as he has the rules and instructions for this event. If you download the entry form, the phone numbers are on the form.

don't know about you guys but listened to P1 on the radio, it was a sad day really as the commentators pointed out...it turned into a bit of a farce at the finish as all the teams exceeded the average speed limit yet again at Cowes, and therefore stopped before the finish in order to get in under the average time limit...a real mess if your a first time watcher of the event

Sorry guys but I really do not understand this speed lark.................surely, and please understand I have only been involved in offshore for 40 years, how the f*** can you have a race when the fastest dosen't win?????????I thought( and remember I am a novice!) the idea was to beat the second guy home?? Therefore you put your foot down and race as fast as is safe in the relivent sea conditions
So if you can not exceed a certain speed it become a trial or rally
This sort of thing under the banner of offshore racing is a joke and does the sport no favours and just brings more controversy and derission
Sorry bunch of w******, everything is just toooooooooooo "PC" for my liking: obviously the "redundant lesbians from Greenham Common who say you can't smack kids, have blackboards in class incase you up set "ethnic MAJORITY" Now run the RYA and UIM

It appears there are no official winners as yet, it was a real mess the 6 laps around the cans had all the evolution boats over the 87 mph average speed, king of shaves pushed over 92mph, and on the last lap I believe outerlimits did over 97 mph around the cans, supersport also had the same problem, vroom vroom led the lead around the cans, at the line all boats came to a stop waiting for the clock to catch up then when the navigator said it was save to cross the line off they went, from the P1 radio most teams in evolution seemed not to upset by it all, in supersport extemeboat were very tense on the time problems as they very much needed to win here at Cowes to save there champion ship hopes and like the other teams it was all up in the air

1st and 2nd in the basic race was occupied by v24, 1st I think Pete Little 2nd Mark Lamont, 3rd may have been a 26 Ring with the cabin scorpion rib in close contention on the P1 front King of shaves think they were first but then so do outerlimits ???

I'm afraid gentlemen that I refer back to my comments of getting behind Mike LLoyd and the RB08 Race,a true offshore race and not YET corrupted by the idiots at RYA or Gary M and his ORC ******, so please lets back real racing and not let the "PC" crew totaly destroy it..Believe it or not it is a an amazing sport, and I for one am passionate about it...............
To-day has proved my point,,,,,,,,,,,,,,this is not racing it a comedy showw and if it wasn't so pathetically tragic maybe we could laugh about it
