Title Decider

With one race to go - Cinzano, Hot Lemon and My Pleasure share equal points in their respective classes.

The three boats are looking forward to an outcome at the intended UKOBA South Coast Marathon.

The event organiser tells me that he has had a poor response on potentitial entries for the race and is considering canceling this third all important heat of The Marathon Series.

Hopefully everyone will pull together, enter and show the event organiser that this race must happen!

But this is the third and final heat of the Marathon Series!

The Event Organiser went public and said he had sponsorship!

The competitors of Heat 1 ran by the RMYC and Heat 2 ran by the BPRC were led to beleive that Heat 3 was the decider?

What on earth has happened there then?

Remember when Tony Davis posted on here a while back - we only had 5 CTC entries!

They all come in the last 2 weeks - worse Matt Yorke entered at 12.50 am last Tuesday for CPC!

I've been wracking my brains for the last few days on how we could put together Heat 3 - Any thoughts? I am happy to look after all the admin side of things.

Shame you didn't do a bit more with the results though. The CPC seemed to be a bit of an after thought! Would be nice to seem some times/average speeds etc

Total F*** Up no excuses.

Will not go in to it on the forum until that problem has been looked at.

I admire your honesty.

It's the reason I hated racing at Cowes, were always made to feel most unwelcome, as though we were just there to make up the numbers, and help fund the event! (95, 96 & 97)

I think that part has changed now, I was always a class 3 racer at Cowes and knew I was second or third fiddle to the Big Boats.

I hope that Honda and ORDA competitors enjoyed the weekend as much as the big boats this year - that was certainly ML's plan.
