Yup I think your right which is why the Hoverspeed Cat has it
However my personal fave of them all is Destriero.
Destriero is an all-aluminum super yacht that covered the 3,106 miles from New York's Ambrose Point Light to England's Bishop Rock Lighthouse in 55 hours without refueling, averaging 53 knots for the entire trip. 67 meters (220 feet) long, 400 tons and with 54000HP from the two gas turbines is capable of over 65 knots (72mph). Awesome!!!

But who holds the current WORLD RECORD for a powerboat crossing of the Atlantic?
Clue: it's actually nothing like the FASTEST crossing!

OK, how about "Who holds the current IUM trans-Atlantic record" then?
Clue 2 for anyone who hasn't googled it yet: The boat had tubes on it, but it wasn't unsinkable!

Well actually, no one knows if it sank or not - it was afloat when they left it.

It met an untimely demise on, I think, it's delivery trip to newfoundland for the new owner. Fortunately everyone was OK.
