Can someone tell me what I need to buy an Event Licence (apart from £60)?

Cheers.

You need to complete a racing licence form which you can get from the RYA -powerboat divison. Talk to them anyway. Tel: 02380 604240 and ask for Nikki.

Thanks for that, It's the deck of a 39ft Velocity. I wish I could say it was my new 2012 RB boat but I would be lying. I can dream though!!

Welcome reception party at the RYS for race crews is free. Barbecue tickets at the RCYC are at £20 per person. We need to know numbers for both party's for obvious reasons.

Details about all this going out to all crews soon from Honda.

Yes, preferably ours but not obligatory - see web site. Any racing club will suffice.

PB1 2009 Event License

C3. EVENT LICENCES Event Licences are primarily issued at Race Control on event to „casual users‟ of the sport, ie those who want to participate in only two events during the race season. It is now the requirement for newcomers to produce photographic identification, complete an Event Licence Medical Self Declaration Form and satisfactorily pass an oral/written test at race control before the event licence is issued. After the issue of two Event Licences to the same person in any one season, if the competitor then wishes to continue to race he must apply for a full Provisional annual licence; the RYA will deduct the cost of two Event Licences from the full annual licence cost in these circumstances only. C4. RESTRICTIONS The following restrictions apply:
a) 1 x Event Licence is valid for the duration of one event.
b) Event Licence holders do not qualify for national points.

Hope this helps and hopefully still correct, suggest give RYA a ring.

This could be a useful diesel engine for endurance racing if you damage anything a quick 8min rebuild and off you go again good as new going to be 700hp and 1500lb

You won't need tickets for prize giving at the Squadron.

Very Interesting!
I had a idea along the same lines cfun, but it involved using the motors out of a Mercedes tipper 330 as it uses an each single cylinder set up as in the video in your link and is mainly aluminium, the pump can be opened to about 370 and its a v6 so very compact, (Cummins make the motor)

Is there an horsepower limit on boats that enter the Cowes Poole Cowes race ? I've had a quick look and can't see any mention of hp or number of engines allowed.

I don't think there is a limit, the Konrad/Velocity boys did it last year with a pair of 525's. Better check with BRPC tho

No limit on HP or number of engines for the CPC race roofer. It will be good to see you.
