------------------------------

Lucas Oil retired with their new Vector, also many boats were damaged during the race such as broken props or damaged drives.
Daniel J.Cramphorn from UK "Team 26" was brought to the hospital after they made a spin-out, to fix his broken wrist...
And on top of that, a heli that was supposed to be at the races, crashed somewhere in the area with unfortrunately some victims...

As for now there still is no official wesite, so the organisation created a new FB group that can be found here;

http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=115197361850528

Next stop for the races is Malta 11-13 june.

Yes - in a nutshell Jean Marie Van Lanker is the President of the UIM committee responsible for the class, and he on behalf of the UIM and the teams has taken over the organisation of the races for which all of the teams are eternally grateful I am sure!

Crainfields seems to have an excess of steps in the hull compared with the other boats. Not knowing much about boat design, or much else as it happens, but is this to give more lift at different speeds, i.e. with different amounts of hull in the water?

That looks like a new Silverline. I can't tell from the rear angle what the hull type is. Any clues?

Funnily enough the Cranefields boat and the Silverline Fountain share a substantial amount of DNA .........
