What's the up to date number of entrants? I've just heard there is only going to be six coming across!

Probably not up and running yet, race isn't on until tomorrow. The "bricks" won't be turned on until just before race start time.

Just got the app, will keep a keen eye on it tomorrow and make sure we're at the harbour to see them come in! If the weather behaves maybe put the boat in and run up the Little Russel too...

Met Office Forecast:
Thames
Northeast 5 or 6. Moderate. Fair. Good

Dover, Wight
Northeast 5 to 7. Moderate. Thundery showers. Good, occasionally moderate

Looks as though they will have the wind on their tails and a following sea until they cross the Channel!

Venture Cup Race - Entries

I hear through the grapevine, that there may be only 10 boats to race tomorrow now.
Any news on who has dropped out please ?

Vee' Microlink Phantom?

This was posted on http://raceboatinternational.com/index.php?id=481
The much debated Venture Cup Prologue race from London to Bournemouth via the Channels Islands is almost upon us and we understand there are eleven entries.

However there is debate as to whether Vee Ganjavin's hugely successful MIcrolink will take part. Being a canopied monohull, Vee feels his visibility would be restricted travelling down the Thames at low speed and he asked if he could start off Southend.

We understand his request has been declined ]so it remains to be seen whether he runs through Tower Bridge next Saturday morning.

Have to say, I have seen the most epic boats and met some of the nicest people ever at this event. Overwhelmed to say the least and really nice to see some faces and meet New ones! Motivator, vee, Niven, chaos, zed, andymac, as well as all the organizers.

As well as the usual faces, I had an amazing time.

Gordon Compton as cool as ever and Gordon mcmath as professional as ever with cranes and e-lites team doing themselves proud.

Organiser pat your selves on the back for getting this far.

No fella, it was not the pump in the end and the lads needed New plugs etc. It needed more uninterruptible time spent on it.
