Fazza 1
Extreme Marine 2
Spirit of Abu Dhabi 3
Qatar - 4th

Us - 10th
Ian - 12th (broke prop blade)

20 runners

We were 6th 6n start gate but struggling in the flat as they ran inside the Lulu Island breakwater which frustrates all the offshore guys as we prove on the start run how good the boat is in rough.

Testing like mad to get more acceleration - which is our real problem at moment as the fleet is extremely fast and competitive. Nicolini was 8th but had engine probs as he was flying.

We were running fastest ever but all stepped up a gear. Secoil (Westerland) was 5th. other Fazza at back and Victory (new boat new crew) at the back.

Giovanni Carpitella and Serefino in Servizi both penalised for missing buoys..

Racing Dubai Thursday now as brought forward due to weather and we pray for a choppy sea!

Very happy with that! The course was only 3 miles and the top 5 were allowed through a gate on turn 1 whilst the rest of the fleet had to go around the outside...a definite advantage but still cannot complain as the racing was bloody awesome on a short course with a tight turn in the palm and outside literally a hairpin!

Got a 10 minute onboard camera battle to upload to YouTube later where we raced Victory 7..he spins out behind us inside the Palm....

We gelled really well in the cockpit - best race yet Mark was cock on for a cock in the cockpit - he did a fantastic throttle job all round - particularly in the rough! Give us more rough please God! We'll be right up there if only it chopped a bit more out there!

GMC John.....I have a load of stickers for you mate.

Nice vid! I enjoyed watching that one.

Looks like you both had a good race on with the other near boats.

Good luck with the season.

Thx M8, actually running 7th on Championship, we saw that a few days ago in Dubai , bonus really as we just wana finish each race as to much effort put in by whole team and we know we can`t compete with state of the art boats out there .

Only 4mph average speed difference on total ave lap time and 4th-7th all the same average speed...they just didn't move in the line after the start timing gate!

We pray for more short storm courses!

Good show, looks like you were holding your own. Looks like a great series, I'd love to end up there some day. Best of luck with the rest of the season.
