XR2 and CABLE STEERING IN 2009 and RACING IN JERSEY
Hi All
Can anyone confrim if i will be eligible to race my Ocke Mannerfelt B-23 rig with an XR2 and CABLE STEERING at the 3C Nationals and Worlds in 2009?
Also,
There is a Honda event in Jersey in the summer - this would be a great opportunity to tie in some basic racing in Jersey - had any of the Jersey boys on here given any thought to putting on an additional basic race in conjuction with the Honda racing that weekend? Then me and the boys could just cruise over from Guernsey and re-ignite the Guernsey vs Jersey powerboat racing War which we all loved!
Cheers Lads
Jacques

xr2
hiya,xr2 was given dispensation at the guernsey 2008 worlds .It does not apply for national races. As for cable steering,it is still allowed ,although after mine failed with no warning i am glad to see the back of it.

There is a technical Bulletin on cable steering on the RYA web site.
IMU it is not recommended & will be sumbmitted to very very close inspection

Jersey Run
Poker run down to jersey sounds like a really good plan.
Should be in the water and the engine run in by then so would be really good to go over with a few folk to watch (and possibly take part) in some racing!
Any more Guernsey chaps on here interested??

Yeah, i'll second that Jacques. More then happy to help out.
If you want just a bit of webspace to put dates up etc (other then this wonderful website) then there is free webspace on the CWGSY site. Could just set up a simple site no problems.
Roll on the summer!
