Yes we'll be there with the BananaShark Stirling where we hope Rohese will tip some champagne over the boat and name her properly. We hope to cruise down first thing Saturday morning from Salcombe and return on Sunday if anyone fancies joining us for the trip?

Good point !! It was put under Poker Runs and Cruises when we added the idea of trying to get some interested people in coming along for fun !!
It became a National just before the first Calendar meeting in February or March.
Are you coming ??

I have recieved this today !!
I agree with these sentiments entirely
"I woke up this morning with a horrible feeling that Charlestown is going to be poorly attended and far from the spectacle it could and should be. Over the past few weeks the entire sport has been focusing on Torquay which in my opinion is far less important than Charlestown. You cannot start at the top and work down, it is clear that the grass roots stuff is being ignored, that is why there are not actually enough willing competitors in the world to make Torquay a world status event. Over the coming days Torquay needs ignoring and boycotting so all efforts are put to getting people to Charlestown and making it what it should be. Exactly a year on from Harwich I think it's obscene that so much attention is on other things and Stir's memorial race is being forgotten."

Bob, this sounds ideal. Where do I head?
As it stands I will be boatless as I cant start the new head, I'll try some new plugs tomorrow as I'm off all week but somehow dont beleive it will be that simple.
Shame as I met my fuel man today who was really helpfull.

It was suggested that I change the plugs when I got it as it had been stood for some time hence me trying that.
I had it running a couple of times but lost patience with starting it (twice in 4hrs with a couple of backfires for good measure) I havent got my fuel pressure gauge in at the mo but "beleive I have pressure", 9 out of 10 times it just doenst want to fire. I've whipped thr plugs out a couple of times and it looks like they are wet with fuel which clearly isnt burning.
Shame as its all ready to go it I could get it started.

Just got back to the yard now after popping our motor, shame because it was running real nice and handled like a dream!
Were pulling it down tonight to see whats up and hopefully get it built up tomorrow if I have parts.
