What to do for grub this time.
We're having trouble deciding what to do re: food.
Last year, the food was .....Ok, but only ok, not great, or good.
So, this time, how about 'we' organise the room, AV, nibbles on the tables, some sticky puddins, Gateau, trifle etc, but everyone does there own thing for the main course, ie, order bar food from the venue, or pop out when it suits you, to one of the many eateries and take-away's in the vicinity (there are loads very locally, inc KFC, Chinese, Fish 'n' Chips, Pizza Hut, etc, etc.)
thoughts please

I think laying on some kinda of hot buffet is always gonna be the best choice, however I do appreciate that this entails one person (or relatively few peeps) having to do a lot of work.
I'll happlly put on my chefs hat and do a pot of chilli & a pot of curry..... if the numbers are manageable. Perhaps it could be warmed at streakos?
That said, if the pubs prepared to cook & accomodate all the guests up untill (say) 9.30............that may be the way to go.
i'm ok to do a "macros raid" for all the table nik-naks if needed.

Right, I've booked the Old Courhouse's function room, this time it's booked till 1am, with the bar closing at 12.30am as it all seemed to be over so quick last winter.
Now we need some definite numbers.

I posted this on the 8th Oct, that's 3 months warning!
If you can't be bothered to book at least a little in advance, you can't really moan when the accomodation is scarce.
