If I can establish that non race boat entries are being accepted and it's not just open to National' or World record attempts (which is what I understood to be the case) I'd like to go.

If you read really really carefully it appears as if you can - BUT you need to buy a 'basic' licence....

It appears anyone can run, £75 in advance or £100 on the day per 2 runs, additional runs are £10, lauching fee is also payable but no registration fee.

I might do, but I'm not all that keen to launch mine from the trailer, or to be more precise, I aint too keen on recovering it with the trailer, as the trailer doesn't really fit too well, and I'm megga fussy about the bottom of me boat.

we'll see. does anyone have contact details for whoever's running the event?

Coniston Records

Advance regs state no entries for any category not recognised by the RYA and UIM. Best speak to Jim, he and Alison are no longer an item but remain friends
