Righto nobbers.

We appear to have 30+ entries, but only half that number have managed to send a confiming deposit! ..That's despite making it clear from the start that this isn't acceptable, at least not if you lot want these events to continue!

So, if you've given a verbal entry by phone and not sent a deposit, or you think you can just turn up and do it, you need to get in touch, pronto!

There's a lot of commitment involved in organising these Poker Runs, both personal, and financial. If there's a poor turn out for this one, it's unlikely there'll be any more this year, if at all.

Not sure exactly, about ten I think.
But your question brings up the point that they're not actually entries, as it was made perfectly clear when the PR was anounced, no dosh, no entry.

Not sure I'll be wasting any more time on Poker Runs, you're all feckin useless.

20 out of 30 paid entries aint bad! I wouldnt loose faith yet. I guess the shitty weather has played its part in dampening people spirits! You better organise one for august Jon so I can come along on my boat!

I did, paid me deposit and boat was all ready to go but I've got problems with steering fluid leaking from the helm unit.

I've got a new helm unit and the old one has been taken out but I'm really busy with work and I just haven't got time to fit it and get some new hoses made up before saturday.

Sorry to hear you guys won't make it.

The beef isn't with you guys - obviously it's disappointing you can't make it, but both of you paid yer deposit on time etc and secured your place.

The beef is with the large number of people of gave a commitment to entering, filling up the entry list forcing others to be turned away, and then not bothering to pay their deposit!!! I bet they'll still turn up on the day if the weather suits them and expect to enter.

FWIW I think late entrants should pay a premium - double the entry fee or something.

Were sorry too, to be honest I bought the P25 for the poker run(s) so not making it means its rather an expensive driveway ornament...

Daren, is it absolutely impossible for you to spend a couple of hrs on friday evening getting it sorted?

Seems a shame to miss out, & to be frank it'd be good to see you (ok, your P25) there

Sorry I will miss it. Think of me signing up for another stint at the ceromony room in Blanford as you all sign in.
Still nice pic of the bride at her last dress fitting
