Beautiful sounding boat. Nearly as nice as a couple of SeaTeks!

Gordons boat has oodles of effortless power. Very nice indeed. an 80mph cruise is a walk in the park.
The motor has such smooth delivery it feels almost like an electric motor. Throttle response in the mid to upper range is pure fun. My only criticism would be it's reluctance to idle in the 1000rpm area. So trundling along the river is a bit fiddly. But that's a very small criticism of an otherwise beautiful piece of engineering.

Wouldn't want the fuel bill though!

I wonder if something like this BMW unit would have a vastly superior fuel consumption for the same sort of run out ...

''The New 5.5-liter V10 will see power rise to 550hp and will be mated to BMW's new seven-speed M DCT doube-clutch transmission or the six-speed manual gearbox. To combat the extra displacement's effect on emissions and fuel economy, the new engine will likely get a direct injection turbo-charged unit and BMW's stop-start technology which automatically switches the engine off when it is not being used such as when the car is stopped in traffic''

but then again it's cost would probably massively outweigh the Chevy in the short term

you're quite well spoken when you aint busy moaning, cursing or salgging people into the ground

is there no vid or decent pics from this years event? I did come home really quite hopefull as Vix had managed to get approx 6 mins of footage. Sadly, 3 mins is utter rubbish and the rest is with the lense cap on!
