Poker Run / Cruise
With the chances of a poker run looking uncertain for '09, does anyone fancy a fast cruise in company from Southampton down to Weymouth/Portland (about 60 miles) with a overnight stop there, and return when we feel like. To be on the same weekend as the Cougar 40th Anniversary run to the same place.(this was going to be the weekend of the Poole Cherbourg Poole race)
I reckon we could have a larf. Mebbe mix with a few Cougar-nobs & chill in Lulworth Cove for a bit if the weather's kind.
Any takers?

Sounds fantastic, assuming I have a working boat or that Ace lets me borrow the 24, then I'm a deffo.
Now that run and a Poker run this year, what a prospect.

Organising a run is indeed quite a lot of aggro, but I'm sure Gill would be bang up for it, if the punters could be relied upon to pay a deposit and commit, but that's always, and I do mean always an issue.
This run will be simple in comparison

Yeh, by aggro I include the risk of people not turning up and Gill having already splashed the cash for it.

Be nice if she could get some commitment, along with some volunteers!
Do we know if the Drivers Wharf event is actually cancelled? As I'm still of the opinion that it's on the 13th June, I haven't officially been told otherwise.

No I don't. well, that could be two events in two weeks!
That would use up my whole years boating quota!
