Motor Boat & Yachting out today, complete with Poker Run article by Hugo.

Got a text message at 6:45 this morning from Chaos to let me know he'd bought a copy at the airport, apparently, he's off on ANOTHER Skiing trip!

He says It looks very good indeed, and was gonna peruse its contents on the plane.

So, get your arses down to WHSmiths and report back.

Agreed!

TD & Chaos, are one ugly pair of Muvvers!

I think Hugo's done us proud! It puts the performance boating fraternity in a good light, and I'm certainly very gratefull for the coverage of both Poker Runs, and Boatmad.com that it's given. So, many thanks to Hugo, and of course to Nick Gilley who is actually responsible for getting Hugo along to experience the day.

Fare Play to you boys getting the Poker run in Motor boat and yachting, Some old git form either that mag or Motor Boat monthly told me at the Southampton boat show approx 4 years ago that power boat racing and power boats were finished in this country.

You boys are the nuts, behind this site the dedication, passion and drive is incredible. Bollocks to the floating caravans and so called gym Palace reports.
By The way a full page picture of The Bandit is in the Dec issue of Tatler.

If i knew how to use a computer i'd attache something....

Yeah, i know, oh well.

It's a .mov (quicktime file) as well, so you have to wait for the whole thing to download before viewing.

The poker run in the MBM report, was June 24th. my comment to Colin, was reference him being unable to attend the June run, as his boat wasn't ready when expected. but it was running in August when we did the run covered by Sportsboat & RIB (and the coastgurad)

yeh I had a really good laugh reading that article @ stanstead whilst a flight was delayed, then Stellios decided after 4 hrs to cancel said flight, so i got to read it again in the 3 mile long cue to the unhelpfull c$nts at the squeezyjet desk! I was then able to read it again on the train to gatwick to pick up our BA flight we paid through the nose for to get us away on holiday. Then again on the flight. And then one final time on the coach from the aitport coz we´d had to fly to Toulouse as it was the only flight out of the UK to anywhere remotely near where we wanted to go & our 7-seater was still waiting for us in Barcelona (original destintation).

26hrs to get to Andora............Good job i like that article!

I think it's fair to say, you'd have had more than enough speed for the August poker run.

The weather can be quite a leveller!
