Right you orrible lot, it's the 14th June!... the closing day for entries is the 17th.
It's looking like a pretty good turnout, or as JJ Mclure would say, a tity turnout.
We're still hopefull that a magazine is going to cover it, which would be excellent!
I'm gonna do the course this afternoon, and will post the details tonight.
So if you're intending to come, and haven't yet entered, get your arse into gear!

OK, I've done the rough outline of the course.
start at:
'Dock head', down to 'Calshot'
'Calshot' to entrance to 'Newtown Creek' = Collect Card 1
"Start"> 'Newtown Creek' to entrance to 'Beaulieu river' = Collect Card 2
"Start"> 'Beaulieu river' to 'Cowes' = up Medina to Folly for lunch
After lunch, start at:
"Start"> Medina entrance to 'Horse Sand fort'
Horse sand fort' to 'Langstone Fairway' (hayling Island) = Travel into Langstone and Collect Card 3
"Start> 'Langstone Fairway to 'Bembridge Ledge'
'Bembridge Ledge' to 'Sandown Pier' (via West Princessa)= Collect Card 4
"Start"> 'Sandown Pier' to 'Bembridge Ledge' (via West Princessa)
'Bembridge Ledge to 'No Mans land fort'
'No Mans land fort' to 'Stokes bay' = Collect Card 5
"Start" 'Stokes bay' to 'Calshot'
'Calshot' to 'Dock head'.....back up Itchen to Drivers Wharf for Party.
AM course approximately 22 statute miles
PM course approximately 50 statute miles
TOTAL 72 statute miles.
Will plot it all accurately tomorrow.

Travel advice needed
Thinking of driving down on the Saturday morning - anyone got any advice on traffic in and around Southampton as never been to drivers before.
Gonna use M25, M3, A33 unless anyone knows better.
Anyone else is driving down that morning?

Coming in on the A33 is OK, it'll bring you in on 'the Avenue'. it can get a bit heavy along there, but is probably the simplest route into drivers.
I take it you're leaving pretty early on Sat then? remember that breifing is at 9am

Yeah, about 5am so hopin' to be there about 8am if no hold ups on the roads.
So if ya see me out side the gates asleep in the back of the boat , no drawing felt pen mustache, beard and glasses on me, just grab me a coffee and a bun. 2 sugars. Ta.
