Just got back, saw some of you out on the water. Now i have a fair few photos so if anyone has the spare space to host them, let me know and I'll zip em up and email them over. I'd like to but just havent got the space. And carly, could you slow down a bit next time its damn hard taking photos of boats at 70mph+

Race report Part 11

Most things went according to plan. That's easy cos we planned as we went along.
Terminator, Robin & Jackeens left Pompey almost on time....then met up with Martin, Anto, Sally,...Crew Timboli (Paul, Sue , Timothy) AND Matt, Vicki and Luisa at Calshot

At Yarmouth we loaded up with fuel met a Kerryman (!) who was all talk and said goodbye to Terminator who had a battery issue... and Matt who was just pootling around the Solent for the day

Then onto Poole where we almost kept entirely out of the way of the Powerboats ...and we hitched up to a Buoy. Saw you Mark busy doing safety boat with Jellignite...looked towards the pier where Sizer was perched and Rockey and gang came over to say hello , great to meet ye.

The weather was lovely, there were crowds on the beach and the raceboats were very exciting to watch. As the race ended, Carly and Matt drove over to say hello to the motley posse and then went in to complete the paperwork & presentations etc.

Race Report Part 111

It was a bit bouncy where we were anchored but we had a few sandwiches anyway cos we're tuff ribstas and then we headed back to Alum Bay where we anchored up, and sat in the sun, had choccy and bubbly ( ) and then went off for another spin to Yarmouth. Into the Kings Head to check for Whiteshoes ( ) and we had some more refreshments...got some ice-cream at the pier and young Timothy drew a cartoon of the race (talented like his mum, Sue )...
Last scoot across the Solent where we waved goodbye to RIB Tenacity and Timboli and Robin and the Jackeens headed back to Haslar for a sundowner...that's when Carly rang us with the Race Report and we picked up messages from Whiteshoes and Terminator (sorry to have checked so late)...

Robin then made the last leg alone to Hayling and we got home in time for The Big Match.
It was a brill day, thanks everyone for your lovely company, Timothy for your brill drawing and big congrats to Team Explosion for doing us all proud.
Wish you were all there but JW has asked for the news so hope you can imagine it all
(Oh I picked up a rope on the way back & tested the strength of the steering wheel as my hubby crashed into me on a dead stop!!! )

Missus (such a lovely day)
