RNLI fundraiser
OK,
Like the very old thread http://boatmad.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8521 we are finally going to do around the island this weekend.
What I would like to get are pledges of money for each mph I beat the current record by.
The current record is 69 something mph and I aim to do around 72mph something, based on the August attempt, so I am guessing 3mph faster than the existing record.
Ana and I will match all money raised from pledges ie double it, and donate the money directly the the RNLI.
I have started a new thread, as it is unfair to hold people to decisions made 18 months ago. So this is a brand new thread....

I'll do a tenner per mile over, but for GAFIRS instead of the RNLI. You still up for matching it?

Yes.
You have to notify the RYA and pay a fee.
You also have to notify Harbour Masters and get permission.
I purposefully did not mention it on Boatmad untill everything was 100% organised, so that the stupid fu£kers who always try cause trouble could not get a chance to get themselves organised, and derail the attempt.
All the people who needed to know knew, and all those who needed to give permissions and approvals have given permissions and approvals. The correct time keepers and OOD are appointed, the correct scrutineers are appointed, the correct record keeping watches have been brought down from Coniston.
Enjoy trying to find a problem. Just please post it someplace else. This is a thread about raising money for the RNLI, a charity that helps save lives at sea, not a thread for Fat Feckers Followers to cause trouble.
Have a nice day.
Rocket boy, Yes, I will match yours for GAY FIRS, although I feel a worrysome brokeback moment coming on - poor choice of name....

Dude - your colours are well and truly pinned to your mast, so dont bother. It is clear to most members here, even if they dont care.
Due to failure to reach the muster area, this challenge has been ended/dropped/finished - thanky for your interest though.....
