Good luck tricky - weather forecast is looking good (better for Saturday and Sunday).

I am driving down Thursday. I will then cast a magic spell on the waters, so it has the correct two foot high 'popple' that the V24 loves so much!

Please come and find us to say hello - we are leaving right after the race, so it would be better before...

And given that I have the only entered V24 that actually complies with the UIM rules as published makes a protest irrelevant actually [/QUOTE]

No sorry I am sure "somebody" will find a reason along the lines of "we don't like the colour your boat is painted in" to protest you !!!!! Did the said protested used to protest everybody in the previous class he used to race in ???????

They can still protest:

1) Muster errors, ie turning wrong direction.
2) Start violation: too close to the start boat.
3) Missing a turn bouy: or going the wrong side of one.
4) Incorrect weight: being underweight at the end of the race.
5) Dodgy fuel: using a non pump fuel.
6) ECU violations: removing the rev limit on the ECU.
7) Drive gearing alteration: changing the gear ratio.
8) Driving into another boat.

Some of these are very easy to test for, others not. But, I will have a video camera on board, a satalite tracker system logging every 5 seconds and we will be overweight by a 20kg margin, so no 'tiny mistakes' there.

Tricky,

Don't take things too serious I was only having a little joke but also making an observation about your main protagonist and wondering whether when he raced in a different class he also protested his fellow competitors ????

No problems.....

I actually do have to spend quite some time in the preperation to a race or record attempt ensuring that all the little things are taken care of. Ana and I actually have a check list we run through to ensure we are legal...

For example: did you know that not having an updated chart can invalidate a class round the island record?

The mind boggles.

We have measured the length of our ropes even...
