Bulletin 2 going out to all Rally Skippers today.

Only one week to go! Should be a sight to see, one of the biggest fleets for some time, 33 boats plus the card boats!

Powerboat & RIB will be covering the event with Dave Ormiston and Tim Tapping (back from having fun in Norway) will be having just as much fun with us taking pics! Hopefully we will have some coverage from a chopper.

Re Pirates of the Solent Poker Rally, no more applications please, we are full on maximum numbers!!

Rafting up at Drivers is going to be interesting! Make sure you all have enough fenders and plenty of mooring lines please.

Are you still planning on heading in the Bembridge direction ? If so do you have a rough idea of what time you will be there, as will pop out for a look.
Many thanks
James

We will be a fair way out from you James as I am sending the fleet round No Man's Land Fort before heading down to the Bembridge Ledge Buoy to avoid the Ryde Sands. Should be running past you between 14.45 and 15.00. Depends on the bleeding weather of course which isn't looking good!!

Brilliant Mike, my local fishing spot !
Wave if you spot a yellow 8m Scorpion rib.

Fingers crossed the rain stays away.
Truly stunning on the Solent currently, mirror flat.

Will all Six race boats taking part in the Rally please make sure that their race numbers are crossed out. Just for this weekend of course.

We don't want people saying we are organising a race do we!! Oh, and no race helmets either please.

Lots of rain for sat.. Also increasing likelihood of storms and such for fri/sat.

Above is a predicted rainfall total map showing the amount of rain falling from 6pm fri to 6pm sat.

It seems however that most will happen sat morning, so you may just get a clear afternoon of it.

We have adapted our menu slightly so please see below prices for breakfast & then the dinner options.

Breakfast
Devon smoked bacon bap: locally farmed pork, our own freshly baked rolls (baked this morning) a selection of relishes, made yesterday. £3.00

Granola & Yogurt with fresh summer fruits £3.00

Bacon & Canadian Maple Syrup Wrap £3.00

Tea £1.00
Freshly ground coffee (Devon roasted)
Americano £2.00
Latte £2.40
Cappuccino £2.40

Dinner (Included in your entry free)

15hr smoked Aberdeen Angus brisket
smoked with applewood chips in single malt whiskey. Served in our flatbreads with lentil sprouts, lime & coriander slaw & salad

Venison & Pork Burger
Made this morning with locally shot game and pork from exeter, including fennel & black pepper. Served with a selection of relishes, rocket, mayo & freshly baked seeded roll. (Burger is gluten free without the bread, served as an open salad)

Veggie option
Grilled Halloumi burger, served with grilled Aubergine, a Harissa relish, mixed salad in our freshly baked rolls.

(All of the above can be done as an open salad for those that don't want the bread)

We will not be bringing the boat up as have the catering equipment, thus if anyone has two spare seats and would like a contribution to fuel costs for the day, please give me a shout!

Look forward to it - hopefully weather will hold :/

Enjoyed seeing you all off No Man's land fort, smokin Aces sounding awesome, but in my opinion going best was the PPG rib, Nick G in the phantom 32 also run fast and level in the light chop.
Can't wait to see the pictures, and hope you have a great evening.

Great to see that the forecasted weather did not materialise and spoil the day for you all. Hope you all had a great time and I too look forward to seeing some photos of the event.
