Video Night

It's been talked about before but now's the time to make it happen. The idea is for BoatMad members (and partners, friends, hangers-on) to get together to enjoy an evening of videos, beer (or a nice cup of tea ), food and chat. Depending on how many people are interested, we could hold it in someone's house(?!) or find a suitable pub (not sure how easy this will be!). Location and date will depend on who wants to come. Could be powerboat videos or a film or two. 'Cannonball Run' is, of course, top of the list but other suggestions would be welcome.

So, who's interested then?

Captain, I've told you before, that's not a hair, that's your man cannon. Hairs are thicker and longer.

Am I allowed, or is it prerequisite to own a boat?

When you say 'borrow', do you mean steal? (essex phrases often confuse me)

Yes I do, so there's no need to risk your parole.

We just need a venue (and a bouncer)

Venue

Alternatively, Rowg has kindly offered the use of his cabin. I don't mind where - I guess it depends on who wants to come and then finding somewhere easy for everyone to get to.

Thanks Rowg!

P.S. Sorry Matt - forgot to thank you for your kind offer too!

Matt, this dive of a hotel near you, does it have a function room that you know of?

I've been away for a few days and I get back to find Matt STILL hasn't found out about the function room!!!

So the venue will be either the function room of the hotel near Matt's gaff or Matt's living room.

Now all we need to decide is when?

Is a Saturday night best? Maybe late November/early December before all the Christmas do's start?

Any thoughts?
