2 x Mercruiser 5.7 Petrol

Hi, I have two of these 5.7 Mercruisers in my Sea Ray which I would like to replace for lower powered engines as we never use the power. One of the engines is less than a year old (was in it when I bought the boat before you ask)

As I am relatively new does anybody have any suggestions on the most cost effective way of achieving this?

The boat is currently moored in Hampshire.

Many thanks,

Kevin

dont change them, just use the power you need. smaller engines will work harder and poss use the same amount of fuel, plus the cost of changing everything over, and its better the devil you know .

Plus it may devalue the resale value of the boat!

Why not LPG it?

http://d2marine.com/services/lpg-conversions/

http://autogasmarine.com/

50% reducton in fuel costs (assuming LPG is available in your area?)

We run a 4.8 V8 for less than a 2.0 diesel!
