mmmh looking at the pics the block is discoloured reducing as you move towards the intake. may have got a little warm at some point. maybe if somebody wanted the gearbox & saddle and a few other bits but I dont suspect it will be a great runner unless you spend some ££££ on it

Definitely an ex race XR2, it's still got the yellow scrutineers sealing paste on the crankcase & reedblock bolts.

You beat me to it!!! Unpainted block and no oil injection means its a race motor. Its also got the ally flywheel. Could have been a 2.5 245 O/S carb but if the yellow sealing paste gives it away as an XR2 then we'll go with that.

Block is pre '95 and heads are pre '93.
